INTRODUCTION
The Astrea type F is bascilly the Astrea recoloured in red so if you want a Astrea, go for the type F because as a prototype of Exia, it's colour scheme is much more different. Seeing this this is prototype of Exia, I will be comparing it to NG 1/100 Exia often. The colours on this kit include, standard red, dark moroon, pale grey, standard grey, baby blue and yellow. Metalic green and silver have to be painted on but worth every cent. The pilot of this is Fon Spark, who is a psycho maniac, shackled because of how dangerous he is but due to his skill, Fereshte must rely on him to pilot all 4 off their gundams. A awsome pilot in my opinion, drawing me more to this kit and how much work it did behind the scenes.

HEAD UNIT
The head is very different looking compared to Exia, despite it is Exia's proto type. The head can rotate 160º and bob 3cm, look up 16º. You have an option of 2 V-fins and faces. You have your friendly Gundam face or you black tinted visor which just looks great. Although it was designed to disguise this as a mobile suit rather than a Gundam, it fails in my opinion in doing that but instead, it gives a cold blooded look with killer intent in it ready to rip anything apart which it's blade, along with it's maniac pilot, it's the perfect match. The two choices of V-Fins are between the short and stubby one and the Gundam V-fin with a yellow sticker on the end. I choose the long one because; the short v-fin is a disgrace. The scalp, like Exia's, need grey paint applications. Instead of the cheeks we all like, we have, in my opinion, better looking extended ones, it looks elfish. Overall i think that this head looks better than Exia's and awsome in it's own league.

BODY UNIT
The body is very similar to Exia's, it has the GN cavity, there s the purple rubber piece, it's very nice, very familiar of Exia's, I guess you have to see to really understand. What's different is that instead of the yellow flip up fins on Exia, we have red fins, add a bit of grey to make it look more accurate. At this point, you would have noticed that there are two tones of grey on this kit. The dark grey we all like and the other grey I dislike, but the yellowish grey is clever to contrast with the new and unique type of colour scheme. At the back of the GN cavity, instead of a GN drive, we have thrusters which look great with the metallic green. The egg shape back piece is there and so is the first segment of the GN drives, so there is a GN drive, just lacking the cone piece around it. The structure of the waist is identical of Exia's dark red piece and little grey touch up. The skirt pieces are varied; you got the slick and smexy Exia skirt or the hardcore Astraea type. I'm all for the hardcore type because that goes well with the overall look. You need grey paint. To make it look any bit decent. The back has minor modifications, relocated beam saver holsters and added armour with more thrusters. Overall the design is almost identical to Exia's except it lacks a "complete" GN drive.

ARM UNIT
The arms have 360º rotation at the for arm, A double jointed elbow gives it the ability to do a full flex. The writs as expect can easily pull off any pivot. Now for you taste of first taste of mechanical detail, remove the should armour to see many panels just waiting for you gold and silver marker to pimp it up but before that, you'd need a coat of grey for all the internal are but after all the work done, you will be thankful, for me this was a very nice exercise for detailing MG Pseudo inner frame, The exterior of the shoulders inferior to that off Exia's but that gives the effect of being a prototype. For the fore arm, you are essentially given the choice of an Exia piece or an Astraea piece but caution; it is not designed to be swapped around often as mine snapped, one of each type.

LEG UNIT
Legs, for starters, the legs are identical the Exia's and this time in every way apart from colour scheme. It kicks out 180º but knees are not double jointed, feet pivot quite well and they bend inwards a little bit, quite pointless but nice thinking, once again, you decide between Exia or Astraea. I obviously choose Exia, the rubber parts make a re-appearance at therefore leg and thighs, I really suggest using the metallic green marker (GM18) or clear green Tamiya paint for the clear pieces.

WEAPONS/BOOSTER/EXTRAS & FINAL VERDICT
The blade will immediately seem like a prototype of Exia's blade, it is in face a down grade from Exia's because it lacks the shield and rifle parts and has to be mounted around the arm. The silver needs to be painted to make the blade look any bit decent. One observation I have made is that the blade will look good on either arm so it can dual wield these blades, that will be my ideal pose but there is no way I'm going to pay the price of another model for it, maybe recycling the blade from original Astraea and painting it will do but nothing for now. The shield, I'm sure the shield is the one Nadleah used in the final battle with the world, it fits on Nadleah's shoulder fine, with some pain, this could be Nadleah's shield but since it's lacking the rifle, I'm not too interested, wasn't a big fan anyway. The rifle is weak, small and not one thing intricate about its design. It would be fail with out another example of the mechanical detail Bandai was so giddy about. The barrel piece removes showing you the inner working, I off course terrorize it with my marker marking it look quite impressive but not displayable. The bazooka is when the innovation really blooms, it looks nothing like a bazooka and that's what I like about it, ideas. The bazooka looks a lot like some sort of deep see fish, its weird but it doesn't look good on the Astrea. I will most defiantly use it on the original Astraea because of how good it looks on the box. Like the rifle, this has mechanical detail but you have to take it apart to see it.The beam saber is very standard but red this time. Give it some panels and the clear red beams and it's good to go, looks good with the Astraea's colour scheme and nothing can go wrong. I think that the option between F1 and F2 is awsome, the fact that it kept me thinking for days weather I should display in F1 or F2, the face of the F2 won me over but I decide to have both on the arms and F1 on the legs. This is a kit and an ideal one if you want to see how the 1/100 00 line is doing. Go buy it.
