INTRODUCTION

i actually have stopped buying gunplas for a few months now but decided to buy again because, well, it's hard to resist this kit, plus i just thought it would really look nice next to my shin musha. i have to say, bandai did an excellent job at hiding the nub marks on the gold plated parts and they placed the nub gates at the back of the piece instead of the usual at the side style, so *two thumbs up* for bandai..:D also i want to point out that it's inner frame and some other parts are from the MG Mk-II has, well, of course, it's a Mk-II gundam also..anyway, on with the review..oh, not a lot of pictures again, got pretty lazy to pose and take pictures of my gunplas lately..^^;

HEAD UNIT

the head is very solid, the design is great..the only complaint i had for it is the foil sticker for the cheek armors, though i can understand that it would be really hard to mold in plastic such a small detail. the construction is pretty simple, same as every other MG only difference is this one doesn't have a v-fin (obviously), instead it's got horns that's got red foil stickers. i usually hate foil sticker but these are just small details so i really won't complain about it.

BODY UNIT

the body is also very same with other MGs, only difference is that it has a cockpit but there's no pilot and it doesn't open, same with MG shin musha. i have to point though, the neck and shoulder joint is fairly weak, not too bothersome but still, after some time posing it around too much i bet the shoulder joint would get really loose. and also the waist joint, which is a ball joint, is also rather weak. the waist unit is great, color accuracy wise, i'm glad bandai molded those purple-ish parts.:D for articulation, pretty same, side skirts and front skirts move independently, back skirt doesn't move at all.

ARM UNIT

the arms, nothing special again with the construction but it has a nice gimmick where on his arm guards it has claws/knuckles that you can draw out and kind of equip on his hands, so that was pretty nice.

LEG UNIT

the legs, man this has got to be my most hated part of any gunpla.XD cause of the obvious reason, for MGs this part always takes the longest to assemble. but for this kit, i have to say the legs are excellent, articulation wise, detail wise, it's just great. no complaints at all. well, there this nub mark on the side armor of the legs but it's hardly noticeable so it's alright.

WEAPONS/BOOSTER/EXTRAS & FINAL VERDICT

accessories, it's got two katanas which is very awesome..:D i just wish they were as long as the shin musha's but he has two anyway so i can understand.XD it also has a spear, nothing special about it, and a beam rifle which is cool looking but i think it doesn't fit well with the japanese/samurai motif of the mobile suit, if i was to decide i would have designed a cross bow or a very long shot gun, but yeah, i can't do anything about it. it's just a personal thought, it's beam rifle is still awesome, it's not like the common two-halves-all-gray or black beam rifles.

some final thought, so far, this is one of my favorite on my collection, (i have a few gunplas that i didn't really like after assembling), it's articulation is great, i can tell even if i haven't even tried posing it. the details are just oh-so-great, so what else can i say except this is a kit definitely worth spending money on..:D

Thanks again for another review, it's weird I've never really been interested in kits that were not reality based, eg Samurai Gundams that look like they came out of an episode of Power Rangers, but this kit simply look awesome and fun.
