The Striker Weapon System, a kit first introduced in the 1/60 Big Scale Real Detail series now comes to SD (?). Although not a very bright representation of the big one, this kit still builds up into funnily detailed kit. Lets see.

SD heads are particularly big and funny. This one is no exception. As usual, the Strike's head is made up of 2 parts for the head shape, a yellow part for the eyes and a red part for the mouth, a polycap at the neck, a fully white anttenna and sticker for the eyes. It is weird no matter how you look at it but the only downturn here is that the yellow bit of the antenna is made up of 2 foil stickers which are more to gold than yellow.

Small as in SD. The body is quite simple and of this in turn made it lose considerable amount of detail. The chest is made up of 2 blue parts and true blue. The gray coloured grids on the chest were also blue. But, the connection to the arms are quite funny. The polycap is not at the body but at the arms which means that the 2 connectors are at the body. Similar to the 1/100 Non Graded Strike design. A red waist plate is also given.

Arms that can be bendable at the intersections for an SD kit? Remarkable. Although the poseability isn't that much to boast about, it can still bend. The shoulders however were molded completely white and the gray grids on top needs paint. The arms hold any weapons nicely.

Nothing much to say here. The legs are short and small. It is almost like the legs aren't visible but they are there. There are 2 small one sided parts to form the legs so as to they connect to the feet. The feet in turn is nicely done, with the white and red parts being seperate. Doesn't need much paint there.

The cream of the cake. This has every bit of weaponry included in the 1/60 version except for beam sabers. You do get 2 saber handles to be placed on the Aile Striker. They are with holes on the tip but no beams. I might say that using SD Duel's or SD Force Impulse's saber can do when posing. The most detailed pack would be the Aile pack with almost similar details and colour with the 1/100 Non Graded version. The anti-ship sword from the Sword Striker needs painting at the beam since it came molded with the beam in one piece. The dagger however were molded in 3 pieces, 1 for the dagger handle, 1 for the other side of the handle and 1 beam though all 3 pieces are light blue. The Launcher pack seems detailed and stickers were given for the yellow flaps bit and red ones for the gattling chain. The Agni however is whole green. Last but not least, a bonus in this set is a fully light blue molded unit of the Skygrasper also in SD. This Skygrasper can carry all 3 Striker packs individually or together as well. Get yours today as it is quite nice to pose it around the 1/100 Strike sets especially doing the Super Strike Gundam pose in SD and normal sized form.
