INTRODUCTION

Alright there, it is time to finish this giant's review. I have made enough introduction of the GN Arms in the Exia part so I'll not repeat here again. I have only one word for this baby, it's HUGE. For a 1/144 kit, it certainly looks like an MG 1/100 kit (of course it's not). Let's continue the second part of this great kit.

HEAD UNIT

NO HEAD for the GN Arms. I mean it.....I can't seem to notice any heads or something so I am replacing this part with the Black giant display stand that comes with it. I suppose this stand is quite standard. a V-shaped like base with a slanting 45 degrees stick that fits in firmly with each other make the basic shape of the base. An additional part on the top of the slanting stick makes it possible to connect the unit with the stand. Simply marvellous.

BODY UNIT

Alright, here comes the meat of it. The body is huge and it seems during my assembly, I noticed it has somesort of a mini frame system that supports it from within. You need to build dark gray layers from within first before putting on the layers of white and violet pieces. The body has a pointy squarish shaped part that can be turned about 180 degrees backward to allow for the GN Armor transformation. A small part from the bottom of the body supports and connects the Exia with it although the basic intructions on the box shows the connection was from the pointy GN Drive thingy of Exia to a bolt like thing that has a small dent. This is however not the accurate connection to it as the pointy back of Exia does not fit in tightly to the dent (as I've tried). Looks good.

ARM UNIT

The arms are like combinations of swords and shields. Though the box did write a GN Giant Sword or something like it, I think they meant the arms. No fist or whatever but just pointy squarish parts that looks like shields. I wonder if this is really yhe GN Giant Sword. Very firm and nice and itcan sway from left to right at a certain angle and there's a small connection for it to stay put if you display it in GN Arms mode. Interesting.

LEG UNIT

Hmm...The legs.....Can we even call them legs? Well I don't really know but I am sure they are legs. Folded in GN Arms mode, it can be unfolded for Exia's feet to fit in. Small panels can be opened and closed to secure the Exia's feet into place. Claw like things can be unfolded at the end of the legs which I forgot was for which mode's use. I know the boxart did not show them opened as GN Armor so my guess is GN Arms is a bird(?). I love it.

WEAPONS/BOOSTER/EXTRAS & FINAL VERDICT

Side Wings are detachable and re-attachable at will but why do we ever need it detached? The white part of the wings can be opened and displayed differently in GN Armor mode. There are two shoulder canons they call the GN Cannon. The lids can be opened but only to a certain extent. Moving it more will move the whole cannon unit with it. Overall this kit is a good buy. For 5,500 yen, this kit really packed the punch. For my estimates, I feel the breakdown of the yen price would be :
1,200 - Gundam Exia TransAm Mode
4,000 - GN Arms
300 - The Display Base

Only one critism for this kit I would like to say. HG kits are too dependent on stickers and the need for realism requires painting. So, why not try a lighter weight Meteor Unit for a change?

Sry for not putting any reviews lately. Been busy with my Degree course. Well this kit costed me like US$45+ or so if its direct conversion to my currency. I live in Malaysia though.
