INTRODUCTION
Alright, I know this isn't Gundam but it still is a Bandai plastic kit of a Real Robot show, right? Well L-Gaim or called as the Mk.I is an incomplete Heavy Metal that was entrusted to young pilot Daba Myroad. This kit I bought and assembled was an alternate pearl coating which is exclusive for the re-issue only. Previous Heavy Metal HG kits only had normal colour variations. Let us see what this kit tells us.

HEAD UNIT
I don't know how to express it. The head looks perfectly like in the anime and it fits firm too. This is similar HG fare and the head has 2 dull golden coloured horns on the head's back. I wonder what they do. Still, only rotation is possible for the head.

BODY UNIT
This kit is somehow special. Because the unit itself has wires and joints bulging out all over, you can say that this is a semi-MG kit. Some parts of the body require to assemble an internal frame first which shows part of it without white armor plates.

ARM UNIT
The arms are similar to what I said to the body. Partly covered with the white armor and partly not. This shows that this guy is really incomplete. We got wires all tangling behind the arms which looks kind of funny. Fists are similar HG fare without movable fingers and holds the weapons well.

LEG UNIT
I wouldn't say it's perfect but I would say that having partial of the legs assembled as a 'frame only' module, the steadiness is quite impressive. Stands well and as usual only partially covered with white armor. Do note that all white armor parts are shiny pearl in the coating version similar to the HG 1/144 Quebeley Extra Pearl Version. Simply dazzling.

WEAPONS/BOOSTER/EXTRAS & FINAL VERDICT
HG kits are often usual but this time the weapons are somehow complete. The 2 Launchers come with wires for them to look realistic. There's another larger launcher (forgot what it's called) that comes with a special front stabilising base in the front for L-Gaim to pose it in kneeling shooting mode, quite commonly used in the anime. One saber only and full white (I meant pearl). The booklet did mention to paint the saber yellow but why ruin the pearl? Of course there's the shield that's white and black and bulky as usual. Nice buy and comes limited. Even at my place, only 3 shops had em and not more than 5 units were in stock. I wonder I should also buy the Golden Auge as well for a nice photo finish of a dueling effect with 2 small Action Bases 2.
