INTRODUCTION
This model just like its in-show counterpart is based off the RX-78-2. It features slightly reworked proportions particularly around the head and waist by BEECRAFT. It shares many parts with the MG RX-78-2 1.0 kit, so this review will be more or less a repeat of the other.

HEAD UNIT
The head consists of 2 halves (front and back portion), a visor, and a piece to simulate internal details. The sculpt of the head is very nice, bearing a modern rendition of the normal GM head.

BODY UNIT
The body re-uses the MG Gundam 1.0's parts. Everything is the same except the area where the core fighter/core block rests, now has a different block with different internal details.

ARM UNIT
Once again this kit reuses parts from the MG RX-78-2 1.0. However, the arm hatches and internal parts that before are now gone. The left arm now features a polycap for the peg of the shield to attach to.

LEG UNIT
The legs, though bearing similar construction to the Gundam, are actually molded differently. Only parts reused are the feet and thighs. The lower leg has a different shape, and covers up the large seam that was present in the middle.

WEAPONS/BOOSTER/EXTRAS & FINAL VERDICT
The weapons layout is the same as the Gundam, including one more, the beam spray gun.
This kit also gives you different backpacks so you can construct the standard GM with 1 beam saber, the twin saber type, and also the bazooka mount GM. And since the parts are swappable, you can alternate between the different versions.
