My fascination for Gundam started 10 years ago when I was 11yrs old. I had bought my first Gundam, G-Cannon Magna F71B from Silhouette Formula 91 at a remote hobby shop. It would be the last Gundam for the next 10 years as the remote hobby shop had closed down, and no local store ever carried Gundam until of recent date.

Walking with friends visiting a store for robot collectors, my eyes fell upon the MG FAZZ FA-010-A. The box art blew me away and pics of the actual model impressed me even more.

At 110$ Canadian, it was just too much to justify for a toy. The image of the FAZZ haunted me when I was bored, and I questioned why my interest for toys had started up again.

Going through sites and sites looking for reviews, I knew my skills were not up to par to create any Gundams that would resemble the ones in the pictures. With this in mind I thought to myself is it really worth buying if it's not going to look any good when I am done with it? Looking for sites with works other people had done, I wanted to know how much work it would require to complete a kit and make it look decent. This was when I first discovered such sites as New Type Asylum and Gundam.com where I could see amateur works of models around my skill level and see really how much work each kit would take.

After planning how I was going to paint the model I finally broke down justifying that models were pieces of art and not merely a toy. I bought the model the next day after my decision with absolutely no regrets.

The shear price of the model scared me from painting the MG FAZZ for quite some time as I figured that if I was spending that much then I really should take all the time in the world to make it look worthy. Buying a few cheap 1/144 no grade kits, I practiced with hand brushed until I was confident I could paint the MG.

So the rest is history and although my works are not impressive or magazine quality, I take joy in looking at the models sitting in my room.
